Cranberries

Cranberries are the fruit of the cranberry bush. This product appears as a berry with a red skin and white flesh, having a sweet and sour, slightly bitter taste characteristic to cranberries. Cranberries have a good share in carbohydrates with a relevant content of dietary fibres. The high content of polyphenols imparting anti-oxidative effects is of particular interest. When dried, it can be used in monopacks, as an ingredient in fruit and nut mixes, as parts of muesli, cereals, fruit and cereal bars, candies, as a topping for salads, baked goods and cheese products.
