It is an effective suspending and stabilizing agent for use in specialty shampoos, where dandruff actives must be permanently suspended and immiscible conditioning agents must be effectively stabilized. It is also an excellent thickener and light gellant for systems containing electrolytes, anionic and amphoteric surfactants, and ethyl or isopropyl alcohols.
