It is an antimicrobial with broad-spectrum activity and can be used to replace traditional preservatives such as phenoxyethanol, parabens, triclosan, and MIT. It is highly efficient against bacteria, yeasts, and molds and is water-soluble. Suitable for all kinds of cosmetics formulations, like rinse off and leave on. It's especially suitable for wet wipes. Use within formulations pH <6,0. This blend is liquid and therefore easy to handle. Its broad antimicrobial activity will show especially in surfactant-based and aqueous products. The preservative activity is maximized at pH 4,5 to 5,0 where the actives are in their undissociated states as their respective organic acids and act in a complementary nature by suppressing the growth and spore germination of bacteria and molds respectively.
