Barrier-Fix-Smoke casings are fibrous and contain a barrier layer. They are pre-smoked casings that have been pre-soaked in water-soluble liquid smoke. Because smoke flavourings are produced from smoke which is subjected to fractionation and purification processes, the use of smoke flavourings is generally considered to be of less health concern than the traditional smoking process.

They are ready to stuff, no soaking and should be stuffed to the recommended stuffing diameter. The advantages of using this product include: without smoking process, presoaked casings, ready to stuff, simple cooking program and reduction of cleaning time. Barrier-Fix-Smoke casings are for cooked sausage, cooked ham, cooked salami, poultry products, liver sausage, cheese and roast.
