Its highly branched structure gives high shine in anhydrous systems, binds oil, acts crystal modifier for crystalline polymers/waxes, pour point depressant, and light/non-greasy aesthetics. The property of acid functionality makes it an anionic emulsifier when neutralized, water resistant film former, dispersible in water and stable in low pH systems and shows high gloss. The property of a low melt point makes it easy to formulate. It also acts as an s oil thickening and rheology modifier which enhances SPF makes it an oil phase stabilizer and boosts UVA/UVB star ratings. view less
