Even at a low dosage BYK-UV 3505 displays a strong reduction in surface tension and improves substrate wetting, even of difficult substrates. Surface slip is significantly increased even at low dosage. This leads, among other things, to an improvement in scratch resistance and the easy-to-clean properties. As a result of its multiple acrylic functionality, BYK-UV 3505 crosslinks with radiation curable systems and thereby produces long-lasting effects without migrating. Its recoatability must be tested, surface sanding is recommended. The product is very compatible and causes no haze in the coating system. The product is very compatible and causes no haze in the coating system. In many cases it displays a deaerating effect. Even at a low dosage it leads to an increase in surface tension. Associated with this are increased surface energy, improved recoatability and intercoat adhesion, even of aqueous systems. In addition, BYK-UV 3535 produces an anti-slip effect. The additive is UV reactive and displays crosslinking with radiation curable systems. For this reason its effect is long lasting and it does not migrate. It displays a low to moderate reduction in surface tension and improves substrate wetting. The surface slip is not increased, or only slightly, and leveling is improved. The product does not cause foam to be stabilized; in some systems a defoaming effect is noticed. As a result of its multiple acrylic functionality BYK-UV 3576 crosslinks with radiation curable systems and thereby produces long-lasting effects without migrating. It exhibits moderate cure speed due to its average double bond density, but is a good crosslinker due to its high functionality. The medium double bond density makes it a prime choice as flexibiliser for hard, rigid films as for example for those based on bisphenol A epoxy diacrylate. The high flexibility supports substrate wetting with good flow and levelling and improves adhesion on polar metal surfaces. LAROMER EA 9101 is compatible with all mono- and multifunctional monomers as well as with all common polyester acrylates, epoxy acrylates and urethane acrylates. LAROMER EA 9101 is an important formulation component for UV/EB low migration inks and overprint varnishes due to its high molecular weight. view less
