It has a protective effect against acid attacks and favors tooth mineralization providing calcium and phosphorus. Furdentyl™ also improves fluorine fixation from toothpaste and decreases the quantity of sodium monofluorophosphate, which is a caries formation and relatively toxic ingredient. Furdentyl™ has a double action against caries. It can be used as a nutritional ingredient in health foods and particularly in confectionery in accordance to US regulation (GRAS – 21 CFR 184.1201) and EU regulation (Directive 2002/46/EC & 2001/15/EC).
