CMC FVH6 is a common food grade form of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). It can produce high viscosity at low concentration, and it is a water binder, which helps increase shelf life of food. This product can produce a film on the surface of fried food, such as instant noodles, and prevent absorption of excessive vegetable oil. It is also often used in dairy products and ice cream.
