This product has a non-volatile content (1g / 1h / 125°C / convection oven) of 41-43, a viscosity at 23°C, (D = approx. 40 s-1) of 700 - 2,500, an acid value of 7-10, and a pH (1:3 in demineralised water) of 7,5 - 8,5. Bayhydrol® A 2227/1 is characterised by its good pigment wetting properties and high shear stability. Bead and sand mills have proved suitable as grinding equipment. Grinding temperatures of up to approx. 50°C have no detrimental effect on quality of the coating. Given the many different pigments available, the storage stability should always be tested.
