Bayhydrol® UV XP 2690

Bayhydrol® UV XP 2690 is a UV-curing PU-dispersion that is used for the formulation of waterborne UV coatings for wood and plastic coatings. This product has a non-volatile content (1g / 1h / 125°C, convection oven) of 38-40, a viscosity at 23°C of < 80, and a pH level of approx. 7.5-9.

For the formulation of weather resistant coatings, the use of light protecting agents (preferably a combination of UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilizers) is recommended. A modification of the photoinitiator component towards longer absorbing types (MAPO, BAPO) might be necessary. The resulting formulation should always be tested in weathering experiments with regard to the specific substrate, application and curing conditions.
