2-Methyl-1,3-Propanediol is a by-product, which is produced by hydro-formulation and hydro-generation of Allyl Alcohol, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen. It is a colorless, low viscosity and toxic liquid with a unique molecular structure. 2-Methyl-1,3-Propanediol is used as a raw material in monomers for the preparation of coatings and binders.

It maintains the first VAM plant with an annual capacity of 85,000 MTY was licensed by Bayer AG (Germany).
