Caspaline 14™ biofunctional is a synthetic peptide to enhance skin’s natural UV defenses and help fight the signs of aging. It is designed to target and boost the expression of caspase-14. Ex-vivo testing showed that it rapidly boosted the expression of this protease. It has also been shown that fewer cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (UVB-induced DNA damage) are produced in skin cells when Caspaline™ 14 is used prior to exposure. Furthermore, because it may help filaggrin expression, a NMF precursor, Caspaline™ 14 may also support supple, moisturized skin.
