Yellow beeswax issued from Organic Farming is secreted by glands placed under the abdomen of bees. A complex mixture of fatty esters, fatty acids, and hydrocarbon compounds, we can find under the name beeswax in different shades of waxes with very different characteristics and odors. As a yellow solid, beeswax is insoluble in water and alcohol and soluble in hot oils and other melted waxes and butters. It brings hardness and resistance to the formulation of sticks. In addition, it provides a film-forming effect in balms and lipsticks and allows them to thicken and bring texture to emulsions. It can also be used to stabilize emulsions. Melting-point = 65°C.
