GIOVAREZ® 1800 is the homopolymer of octadecyl vinyl ether. It is a 100% active, water insoluble, waxy, nonionic resin. Since it melts at about 45ºC, it can easily be incorporated into waxes where it can be utilized as a melting point depressant. It can be applied in mascara for volumizing and water resistance, in lipstick to provide gloss, and to increase volume in hair products.
