BELSIL® EG 5 elastomer gel is a silicone copolymer network blended with a cyclopentasiloxane. It appears as a transparent gel providing a very pleasant sensorial sensation during the application and after use. BELSIL® EG 5 can easily be diluted with low viscous silicones, to adjust the viscosity as required. BELSIL® EG 5 can act as a thickener in formulations. In addition it exhibits shear thinning behavior, which allows formulating cosmetic products that spread easily during application and facilitates the incorporation of pigments into a formulation. view less

BELSIL® PDM 1000 is a phenyl-modified polydimethylsiloxane characterized by having a higher refractive index than dimethicone fluids (1.38-1.40). It offers clear advantages over dimethicones with regard to skin feel, shine and compatibility with other cosmetic raw materials. This product has a flash point of approx. 285°C, a viscosity, kinematic at 25°C of approx. 1000 mm²/s, and a density at 25°C (at 1013 hPa) of approx. 1,07 g/cm³.
It is used in all kinds of cosmetics formulations, but mostly in hair care compositions and color cosmetic due to their shine-enhancing benefits. BELSIL® PDM 1000 reduces the stickiness of formulations containing acrylic acid polymers. It is an excellent emollient in skincare products, imparts a very pleasant feel to the skin, and provides water repellency. view less
