The permanent ammonium ion on this polymer enables it to provide targeted conditioning on damaged hair as well as coloured protection on dyed hair through electrostatic attraction to the hair cuticle. It is also designed for use in heat protective hair serums and other leave on products. It may also enhance hair strength. When used in conjunction with other silicone ingredients in skin and lip care formulations SeraSense SQ 40 imparts a pleasant, non-oily skin feel that is unique from other silicones. It is especially recommended for colour cosmetic products where long-lasting durable effects are required. The recommended usage levels vary according to application but 0.5 – 3% is a recommended starting point. view less
