This product is soluble in warm oils, silicones and esters which makes it formulator-friendly. When added to the oil phase of an emulsion the product adds richness, body, viscosity and tends to stabilize the emulsion. PELEMOL® GMR is predominantly the mono ester of glycerol and ricinoleic acid (12-hydroxy-9-cis-octadecanoic acid). The hydroxyl group in the carbon chain and the hydroxyl groups on the glycerol backbone make the product an excellent moisturizer and skin protectant. We can attribute these properties to hydrogen bonding with the skin surface. PELEMOL® GMR is completely vegetable derived. It forms w/o emulsions and is recommended at 5-20% levels in skin and topical pharmaceutical preparations as an emulsifier or co-emulsifier, refatting and protecting the skin. view less

PELEMOL® GTAR is the triacetate ester of Castor Seed Oil. It is 100% active vegetable derived ester with a low freezing point due to its highly branched structure. It is highly lubricious and functions as an excellent pigment wetting ester. Among its other properties, this product exhibits cushion, good play time, and high shine. It is easily incorporated into the oil phase of an emulsion and can also be emulsified with Phoenomulse 100 to a high internal phase resulting in a thin o/w emulsion. These excellent properties make PELEMOL® GTAR highly useful in lipstick, make-up products, skin lotions and creams at 1% to 20% levels. view less
