HALOX® Zinc Phosphate

HALOX® Zinc Phosphate by ICL is a universal lead-free and chromium-free inorganic corrosion inhibitor. It is designed for water-based- and solvent-based coatings. It is a white, non-refractive grade used in protective coating systems. It is generically identified as zinc phosphate-dihydrate. It exhibits a narrow particle size distribution. It has a high degree of versatility. HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is recommended for most high-performance resin systems such as vinyl, chlorinated rubbers, and epoxies. It is also used in high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. It is also recommended for thin-film applications (1 mil or 25 microns). It is compliant with ASTM D6280-98 specification for zinc phosphate pigment type I. The dosage level is 5-15% based on the total formula weight. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
