This product is specially developed as an active filler for anti-corrosion coatings. The protective action is based upon reinforcement, barrier effect and UV-reflection resulting from the platelet structure of the filler particles. It is highly effective in both the intermediate and topcoats as well as in the primer systems. Its high effectiveness has been proven in the protection of structural steel works such as electricity towers, road and railway bridges, chemical plants and marine and offshore installations. The type used is based on the application method. The finer grades are mainly chosen for airless spraying in order to prevent blocking of the orifice. Portafer® AP is also used as a highly appreciated decorative pigment. The oil absorption for this grade is 17g/100g. view less | |
