The multifunctionality of ANTIGEL® KF-D is based on the synergistic activity of the components. The stabilisation is based on the oxygen binding properties of the antioxidant. ANTIGEL® KF-D improves flow and through-drying. The wetting component of ANTIGEL® KF-D reduces the interfacial tension between the usually hydrophilic pigments and the hydrophobic binder. The pigments are well distributed resulting an optimum depth of colour. Dispersion time, floatation phenomena and sedimentation are reduced and gloss is increased. Sedimentation is largely avoided. Because of the excellent wetting, optimum depth of colour is achieved. view less
