Licorice root CO2-to extract with MCT Oil, Variety Uralensis - 175.004 is Glycyrrhiza Uralensis - Root, dried. Used in Oral Care, Licorice root CO2-extract with licoricidin and licorisoflavan A as major active compounds inhibits growth of major oral pathogens. These compounds show the most potent antibacterial activity against cariogenic species Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus, periodontopathogenic species Porphyromonas gingivalis and Prevotella intermedia already at very low dosages. Licoricidin also moderately inhibits growth of the oral Fusobacterium nucleatum that plays also a role in periodontal disease.
