This aldehyde resin is very heat stable and has very wide compatibility with other resins, good light fastness, good pigment-wetting properties, and aliphatic hydrocarbon resistance. SAFIC-CHEM A18 is also used as a co-binder with nitrocellulose, alkyd, or polyurethane resins in order to improve the hardness, gloss, flexibility, and yellowing resistance of the paint film.
