This product is light beige, hygroscopic, and has a yeasty flavor and aroma. These yeast fractions are cell walls resulting from the autolysis of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. They comprise high quality fibres, source of β 1,3/1,6 glucans, that contribute to the proper functioning of the immune system. An article 13 health claim dossier has been filed with EFSA.
