ETHOXCARE® BTMS-25 is a blend of behentrimonium methosulfate and Cetearyl alcohol. This combination creates an emulsification system with unique characteristics. In creams and lotions, it can be used alone as the sole emulsifier. For systems that are difficult to emulsify, it is an excellent choice. ETHOXCARE® BTMS-25 can emulsify systems that contain high levels of silicone. Because it is cationic, it is substantive to hair and skin. Hair care, it delivers excellent conditioning and improves wet and dry combing. ETHOXCARE® BTMS-25 can be used to create rinse-off conditioners as well as leave-on conditioners and detangling sprays. In skin care, ETHOXCARE® BTMS-25 delivers a soft elegant after feel and in rinse-off products it facilitates deposition of other nonionic conditioners and moisturizers. view less

It is a complete emulsion system that simplifies the formulation of oil-in-water emulsions since it can be simply added to the water phase and heated with mixing to create an emulsion. ETHOXCARE® Emulsifying Wax is useful in a wide range of personal care products and cosmetics and is compatible with extremes of pH and high levels of electrolytes. Since it is a completely saturated solid material, it produces very stable emulsions with good body and opacity and provides conditioning properties. view less
