CATEMOL® 220-B is the behenic acid salt of behenamidopropyl dimethylamine and can be classified as a cationic organic salt, with a small amount of free behenic acid. This product can disperse readily in water and can be stabilized to form a lotion. In addition, it acts as an effective dispersing agent for inorganic pigments (such as microfine TiO2) in w/o emulsions.
CATEMOL® 220-B can be applied in hair conditioners (leave in and rinse off), conditioning shampoos, creams and lotions, A/P systems and lip care products. view less

CATEMOL® 360 the reaction product of dilinoleic acid and dimethylaminopropylamine, is molecularity more than half vegetable derived with the remainder synthetic. It is a viscous, clear, difunctional amido-amine.
This product is cationic, having two tertiary amino groups, one at either end of the molecule. The molecule can be reacted to form a diquaternary or a difunctional salt, in situ, with a variety of organic acids. CATEMOL® 360 gives the formulator extreme flexibility in developing a conditioning solution; vegetable derived acids such as lauric or isostearic acids deserve consideration. In such systems, it will deposit on hair to improve manageability. This product can be applied in hair conditioners, water in oil emulsions and as a quaternary intermediate. view less

CATEMOL® S-180-S is a stearamidopropyl dimethyl amine complexed with stearic acid; it is derived from a natural source (rape seed oil). The combination of the moieties has a carbon chain length of 36, which makes it an excellent conditioner. Because this product is cationic, it is very substantive and forms a monomolecular layer on the substrate. Some of the commonly recommended applications include skin creams and lotions, hair care products such as shampoos and hair conditioners, shaving creams, liquid soaps and soap bars.
