VPS SIVO 280 is an organofunctional silane oligomer. Acts as an adhesion promoter. Leads to adequate adhesive cure and imparts additional flexibility and hydrophobicity. Soluble in alcohols, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, but it can undergo reactions with ketones or ester solvents. Helps eliminate the need for special primers in numerous bonding applications. Exhibits excellent wetting on substrates and forms weather- and moisture-resistant bonds to substrates which are partially difficult to adhere, well balanced mechanical properties and significant VOC-reduction compared to conventional amino silanes. Suitable for use in adhesive and sealants, silane modified polyurethane/ polyether, RTV-1/RTV-2 silicones, butyl rubber and improved adhesion especially to PMMA. Recommended dosage for VPS SIVO 260 is 0-5-2.0 wt. %. It has a shelf life of 9 months.
