There are hundreds of different types of encapsulations and just as many combinations of ingredients to create a repellent. For example, repellents used on woods, may consist of chromated arsenicals, creosote, and pentachlorophenol (PCP). Newer wood preservatives may have ingredients like propiconazole (a fungicide), acid copper chromate, and alkaline copper quaternary (an insecticide).
