BYK makes their documentation available in the regions indicated below:

DISPERBYK®-199 is a solution of a copolymer with pigment affinic groups. The additive deflocculates pigments through electrosterical stabilization. Due to the small particle sizes of the deflocculated pigments, high gloss is achieved and color strength is improved. Additionally, transparency and hiding power are increased. This product reduces viscosity, subsequently, leveling is improved and higher pigment load is possible.

BYK has an established history of innovation such as being the first additive manufacturer to begin using Controlled Polymerization Technology (CPT), launching the first rheology-modified wax emulsion, and being one of the first companies to use nanotechnology for improving Coatings properties. BYK invests approximately 7.5% of its earnings in R&D—three times more than the industry average.
