BYK®-370

BYK®-370 is a reactive silicone surface additive that is a solution of a polyester modified hydroxy functional polydimethylsiloxane. This product reacts via its primary OH-groups with the binder and is preferably used in solvent-borne two-pack polyurethanes. It can also crosslink with the following binder systems: alkyd/melamine, polyester/melamine, acrylic/melamine, self-crosslinking acrylates, and epoxies. BYK-370 increases the surface slip.

Company

BYK has an established history of innovation such as being the first additive manufacturer to begin using Controlled Polymerization Technology (CPT), launching the first rheology-modified wax emulsion, and being one of the first companies to use nanotechnology for improving Coatings properties. BYK invests approximately 7.5% of its earnings in R&D—three times more than the industry average.
