Busan® 1009

Busan® 1009 is a liquid microbicide combining the effectiveness of Methylene bis(thiocyanate) and 2-(Thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole for a broad spectrum of activity against both bacteria and fungi. It is also used in caulking compounds, sealants, and adhesives for protection against microbial degradation. This product is recommended for addition to clear and pigmented coatings to protect wood from fungal staining and decay and to prevent mold growth on the surface of the coating. The coating may be either solvent- or water-based. Busan® 1009 can be added to solvent systems prior to combining with the nonvolatiles, or it can be postadded to the finished solvent- or water-based coating.
