SiSiB® PC1220

SiSiB® PC1220 is a colorless, strongly alkaline liquid with amine smell being very sensitive to hydrolysis. It is a diamino-functional silane capable of providing adhesion and elougation and flexibility at the polymer-substrate interface. It is used to promote adhesion between glass, mineral and metal surfaces; as reinforcements, fillers and substrates; and with resins that react with amino groups in systems such as PVC plastisol, polyurethane, or epoxy-based adhesives and sealant, or in phenolic and epoxy molding compounds. It can be used in waterborne systems such as latex coatings, adhesives, and sealants; as an adhesion promoters in polysulfide, polyvinyl chloride plastisol, silicone two-part urethanes and epoxy adhesives and sealants; as an additive for cold-curing phenolic and furan foundry resins to improve the flexural strength of the sand-resin composites; as a starting material in the synthesis of amino-functional silicones; or as an adhesion promoters in one-part silylated urethane adhesives and sealants.

Company

SiSiB Silicones has more than 20 years’ experience in manufacturing various silicone materials. They have established six factories in China to manufacture organofunctional silanes (silane coupling agents, silane crosslinkers, silane blocking agents), silicone fluids (straight, modified), silicone rubbers (Gum, HTV, RTV and LSR), silicone resins and fumed silica.

SiSiB® silanes are widely used in adhesives and sealants to improve environmental resistance, increase adhesion and other mechanical properties and can be used to improve the adhesion of many coatings (urethanes, epoxies, phenolics and others) to glass and metal surfaces for the paint and coating industry.
