DOUBLEMER® 1702

DOUBLEMER® 1702 is a bisphenol A epoxy acrylate oligomer modified with fatty acid. This resin is characterized by excellent pigment wetting, good flow and leveling. It is designed for use in ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) coating systems. The cured films of DOUBLEMER® 1702 exhibit high gloss, improved water resistance and excellent chemical resistance properties similar to the typical epoxy resin.

Formulated UV/EB curable products containing DOUBLEMER® 1702 may be applied via lithographic, screen, direct or reverse roll and curtain coating methods. This product is recommended for use in: clear coatings for paper, overprint varnishes, lithographic ink vehicles, screen ink vehicles, vehicles for metal decorating inks and clear coatings and coatings for rigid and flexible plastics.
