It is suitable for clear coats, direct-to-metal, latex primers, thin film coatings, acrylic emulsions, water-dispersible alkyds, alkyd emulsions, polyesters, epoxy, urethane, and high gloss coatings. It is easy to disperse, post-addable, and reduces white rust on galvanized and black rust on Galvalume™. It offers increased hydrophobicity, improved anti-fingerprint, and no effect on gloss. It provides reduced silver, aluminum oxidation and high-temperature stability. HALOX® 550 is non-flammable, pH stable, and has a low freeze point. It is a temporary rust inhibitor for cold-rolled steel, blasted steel, and aluminum. It can impart corrosion resistance to final metal rinsing solutions.
