Polyglykol 300 Clariant - Coatings & Construction Chemicals Polyglykol 300 is a polyethylene glycol that is used for a wide variety of applications including: reactive diol/polyether component in polyester or polyurethene resins; component of auxiliaries for leather and textile processing; cosmetic / pharmaceutical formulations (e.g. humectant or solubilizer for creams, shampoos, tooth paste); lubricant and mould release agent...view more Polyglykol 300 is a polyethylene glycol that is used for a wide variety of applications including: reactive diol/polyether component in polyester or polyurethene resins; component of auxiliaries for leather and textile processing; cosmetic / pharmaceutical formulations (e.g. humectant or solubilizer for creams, shampoos, tooth paste); lubricant and mould release agent for rubber, plastic and elastomer processing; plasticizer and binder for ceramic and concrete manufacturing; component of lubricant formulations; water soluble, lubricating component in metalworking fluids; humectant for paper, wood and cellulose films; solvent and humectant for dyes and inks; modifier for production of regenerated viscose; humectant and plasticizer for adhesives; and heat transfer medium. Polyglykol 300 is clear viscous liquid at room temperature. Its two hydroxy end groups as well as its ether groups mainly control the physical and chemical properties of Polyglykol 300. Therefore Polyglykol 300 is soluble in water and polar organic solvents like aceton or methanol. It has a molecular weight of 285 – 315g/mol. view less

Polyglykol 400 displays typical chemical reactions of alcohols/diols, and it has a molecular weight of 380 – 420g/mol. This product is also available as Polyglykol 400 Terra, providing the same performance as its conventional counterpart and benefiting from a REDCert2 and ISCC Plus certified supply chain ensuring the use of biobased or renewable raw materials resulting in a significantly reduced carbon footprint and an RCI 100%. view less
Dipropylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether Clariant - Coatings & Construction Chemicals Dipropylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether (DPGDME) is a colorless liquid with a mild, pleasant odor. It is completely miscible with most common organic solvents. However, it has limited solubility in water. DPGDME has no hydroxyl functionality. It is an inert, aprotic solvent and can be used in proton sensitive systems. Dipropylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether is not listed as a Hazardous Air Pollutant, has low toxicity, and offers an alternative to solvents being phased out as a result of the Clean Air Act. Due to its chemical stability and the absence of reactive groups, DPGDME can also be used as an inert reaction medium, e. g. for reactions with alkali and alkaline-earth metals (Grignard reactions), polymerizations etc. Dipropylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether is used in solvent-based coatings and water-based polyurethane/ isocyanate coating systems. It is used as environmentally friendly substitute for NMP (N-methyl pyrrolidone) e.g as as coalescing agent...view more Dipropylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether (DPGDME) is a colorless liquid with a mild, pleasant odor.
