This product has an amine value of 250-264mg KOH/g, a Gardner colour number of 15 max., and a molecular weight (av) of 217g/mol. Bisomer® PTE is an aromatic tertiary amine used as an amine activator for organic peroxide initiation, ideal for use in formulations using dibenzoyl peroxide (BPO). It has reduced toxicity. Bisomer® PTE is extensively used to activate MMA based acrylic resins, styrene-based unsaturated polyesters and vinyl ester methacrylate formulations. It is ideal in a wide range of applications, including acrylic flooring, adhesives, chemical fixings, road-marking paints, anchor bolts and chemical mortars. view less

BL-693 will provide the same catalytic activity as ATMEDA while allowing the formulator more flexibility in mixing and mold filling times. This product will consistently reduce friability in foam applications. The product also has the potential to act as a curing catalyst at higher use levels. Buckman recommends testing BL-693 to determine the appropriate use level for each foam system. view less
