Acti-Gel® 208 purified attapulgite is a high quality, self-dispersing hydrated magnesium aluminosilicate intended for high performance use as a binder, thixotrope, reinforcement additive and anti-settling agent. This unique formulary tool suspends and homogeneously disperses other particles in liquid systems creating a very stable mixture yet enables higher loadings of solids without increasing viscosity. Acti-Gel 208 additive can be a simple fix for syneresis, pigment float & flooding and sedimentation problems in a wide range of water-based coatings. Its low dosage, and extremely low residue makes it a quick “post-add” solution for stability problems in existing coating formulas without changing its rheology, paint formula or packaging label. view less

It provides desirable performance advantages in gloss and sheen control, enamel holdout, anti-settling, and sanding properties. As our highest brightness product, Acti-Min® PG product can be a lbs-for-lbs direct replacement for higher cost water-washed kaolin products in coatings and similar applications. Its very fine and narrow particle size distribution in the 0.25 to 0.4 micron range has shown to be more effective at TiO2 extension in latex paint than standard water-washed kaolin grades. view less
