Coconut Oil RBD, Organic (FT15064, 74511, 74575, 74598) is white and solid at room temperature. Since it is odorless and flavorless, it can be used in a wide variety of applications. Organic coconut oil RBD is produced from the dried flesh (copra) of organically grown coconuts (cocos nucifera). After drying, the copra is pressed to extract the oil. The oil is then, degummed, filtered, and deodorized. Deodorizing takes place at a maximum temperature of 220°C for 4 hours at a pressure between 3-5 mbar. The product is then packaged. view less

It is liquid at ambient temperature, but it can produce a precipitation of saturated triglycerides if stored in cool places. The oil is extracted from the pulp of the fruit of the palm tree Elaeis guineensis. The palm trees are organically cultivated and the oil is physically extracted (by mechanical pressing) without the use of solvents or other chemicals substances. Palm Olein is produced by natural fractionation of Palm Oil involving successive steps of cooling and filtration. Refining of the oil utilizes the USDA NOP approved processing aids Citric Acid and bleaching earth. These are not considered additives since they are removed during processing. view less
