Speedcure TPO-L is a liquid Type I photoinitiator that absorbs at 380 nm. The photo-fragmentation produces benzoyl and phosphinyl radicals that can initiate the polymerisation of formulations containing acrylates, unsaturated polyesters and styrene. This yellow liquid cures coating containing titanium dioxide, is a safer cure for opaque systems and gives a good through-cure. It is applied to UV offset and flexo inks, white pigmented UV lacquers, UV screen inks, UV overprint varnishes and printing plates.
