MAYCO® BASE CF-74 is an oil soluble extreme pressure additive designed to replace chlorine in heavy-duty applications. It has found good success, especially in the stainless operations of deep hole drilling and turning. As MAYCO® BASE CF-74 is non-staining to the yellow metals, it also can be used on both sides, (cutting and lube) of automatic screw machines. It is recommended to replace chlorine in a cutting oil on a one for one basis with MAYCO® BASE CF-74. An example would be 4% of a 50% chlorinated paraffin in a cutting oil, yielding a total of 2% chlorine would be replaced by 2% of MAYCO® BASE CF-74. Successful replacements of up to 15% chlorine have been achieved in cutting oils.
