MEADOWLACTONE® contains a cyclical lactone ring derived from a 5-hydroxy moiety on the Meadowfoam fatty acid, in a Meadowfoam fatty acid matrix. The lactone ring confers a hydrophilic nature to that terminal end of the molecule while the long fatty acid chain confers lipophilic attributes to the rest of the molecule. MEADOWLACTONE® has amphoteric properties, since the lactone ring will open and close as a function of pH and the ionic character of the environment. MEADOWLACTONE® can help provide balanced moisturization, to improve tone, elasticity and help reduce dryness of the skin. MEADOWLACTONE® can help reduce irritancy caused by some products. This product is compliant with COSMOS, Vegan, and ISO 16128 requirements.
