Clinical Efficacy aims to answer problems related to anomalies of the scalp that alter the healthy aspect of the hair and the quality of life of the people with these anomalies. In this area, the increase or reduction of sebum and oiliness are tested, as well as the appearance or decrease of dandruff caused by the factors mentioned above and the growth and strengthening of the bulb and the hair on subjects with the most diverse types of hair in our extensive subjects’ database. The clinical efficacy area also has a monitored collection of hair swatches for specific studies. Hair Metrology is directed, mainly, to proving the efficacy of cosmetic products in hair swatches acquired from certified suppliers and following a strict ethics code. We do not buy hair from suspect sources of smuggling; we always certify that the hair was donated voluntarily and no damage or trauma was caused to the donor. All the purchased hair goes through a quality control process before being used in tests. In the end, we provide performance evaluation reports of the most common consumer attributes, such as: softness, shine, frizz and volume control, moisturizing, hair conditioning, strength, oil reduction, hydration, breakage reduction, hair loss, anti-dandruff, hair nutrition, repair, heat protection, color maintenance, split ends prevention, curly hair motion, and curl retention. view less

A non-invasive Multiple Light Scattering (MLS) technique is employed to determine the intensity of particle migration kinetics (sedimentation, creaming, clarification) and particle size change kinetics (flocculation, coalescence, packing) as well as phase thickness growth. Analysis can be performed from RT to 60 degrees C on samples up to 95% concentration. view less
