The Crystalline structure is similar to other minerals belonging to the Stevensite and Montmorillonites group. Density is roughly 1.7 in the pycnometer. Rhassoul is a sedimentary formation tertiary and has a lake origin. Once extracted, the clay is washed with water to eliminate impurities, then spread out to be sun dried.
