Because of its degree of propoxylation, this product presents itself in the form of oily liquid of low viscosity with excellent spreading and emollient power over the skin and hair. It is used in cosmetic formulation such as bath oils, sunscreens, hair products, lotions, and creams. When applied as an emollient, ALKOMOL® E 10 provides excellent spread over the skin, lubricating it without leaving excess oil. Prevents and avoids drying of skin, leaving it soft. In sunscreens acts as a solvent of the active ingredient, and facilitate application (spreading) over the skin. It forms a protective film on the hair, protecting it from dryness caused by the presence of other solvents in these formulations.
