It also contains fatty esters of Cholesterol and other sterols. FANCOR® LANWAX is used in water in oil systems to provide firmness, emolliency, improved consistency and stability. As such, it finds wide use not only in creams and lotions, but also is most valuable in lip formulations. It will add acceptable tact to hair grooming preparations and will serve as a plasticizer in wax crayons. It is an excellent bodying agent.
FANCOR® LANWAX is valuable as a low cost replacer or extender for other natural waxes in all applications including the manufacturing of candles. Bicoalgae® XT, is a natural origin delivery system that has targeted delivery of an astaxanthin rich algae, to specific skin layers. Bicoalgae® XT provides clinically proven all-round anti-aging benefits, including wrinkle reduction, improved skin firmness, increased brightness, accelerated cell renewal, increased anti-oxidant efficacy and reduced lipid peroxidation. The delivery system is composed of two lipid assemblies: internal smart discs that carry the active and an external lipid vesicle enclosing the discs, thereby double encapsulating the active ingredient. The vesicle delivers the smart discs to the skin, which then pass through the narrow intercellular spaces of the Stratum Corneum and reach the targeted skin layer. This is where the active ingredient is released. Smart discs are designed to reach specific skin layers where the active ingredient needs to be by tailoring the affinity of the smart discs with the environment of the target skin layers. Facial creams formulated with CHOLESTEROL as a substantial component are considered to firm the tissues, reduce pores, smooth out wrinkles, and re-tone crepey skin. CHOLESTEROL is a component of emulsifying bases that can form o/w and w/o emulsions, and is known to improve the properties of anionic emulsifying agents and the stability of emulsions produced with them.
