The stabilisation is based on the oxygen binding properties of the antioxidant. The wetting component of ANTIGEL® KF-D reduces the interfacial tension between the usually hydrophilic pigments and the hydrophobic binder. The pigments are well distributed resulting an optimum depth of colour. Dispersion time, floatation phenomena and sedimentation are reduced and gloss is increased. Sedimentation is largely avoided.
