Sin embargo, no se garantiza la estabilidad de almacenamiento en todas sus combinaciones. Se debe comprobar su idoneidad para aplicaciones individuales detenidamente. Elimina pequeñas partes de humedad y previene problemas relacionados con la humedad en la fórmula de revestimientos de poliuretano. El Additive TI se utiliza para la deshidratación de disolventes, material de relleno, pigmentos y alquitrán bituminoso. Reacciona rápidamente con el agua y genera dióxido de carbono y toluensulfonamida, que generalmente es inerte ante una reacción mayor con isocianato de alquilo y arilo y, usualmente, es soluble en disolventes de revestimiento. Este producto no provoca mayor amarilleamiento de la película. La aplicación del aditivo TI en una fórmula de revestimiento de poliueratano evita problemas relacionados con la humedad, como disminución del brillo, calima, amarilleamiento y espuma de reacción. También puede reaccionar con otros compuestos de hidrógenos activos, como alcoholes, fenoles, aminas, amidas y otros más.
