It provides an improved rheological behaviour to semi-gloss and matt dispersion paints. Thanks to its associative character, It is also highly effective at medium and high shear rates. In particular, it is the ideal tool in order tomatch a given Stormer viscosity (medium shear viscosity). Therefore, compared to cellulosic ethers, it provides both better in-can appearance and coating properties: the better control of the medium shear viscosity allows to reinforce the in-can consistency, thus the perceived quality of the paint. It can be used in combination with other thickeners, either those effective at low shear rates (e.g cellulosic ethers and acrylic thickeners such as Viscoatex™ 730 or Thixol™ 53 L), or those providing a Newtonian rheology (e.g polyurethane thickeners such as Coapur™ 3025). voir moins Request Sample
