Bisomer® DEGDMA HI (Diethyleneglycol Dimethacrylate) is a low viscosity aliphatic dimethacrylate monomer ideal as a co-monomer for improving hardness and mechanical properties of numerous plastics, adhesives, sealants and especially unsaturated polyesters and acrylic polymers such as acrylic sheet and acrylic flooring. This product has a refractive index @ 20°C of 1.455-1.460, a residual solvent amount of 0.8% max., and an inhibitor (MEHQ) content of 650-850ppm.
It is an excellent reactive diluent in peroxide curable formulations due to its low viscosity and ease of handling. It is ideal in dibenzoyl peroxide (BPO) cured applications. Bisomer® DEGDMA HI is also excellent for use in the manufacture of UV cured photopolymers such as flexographic printing plates. It is widely used in photopolymers, wire and cable coatings, adhesives and sealants. Bisomer® DEGDMA HI offers excellent compatibility with unsaturated polyesters for chemical fixings and anchor bolts.
