Nano BTX Solution is the nanostructured version of a potent anti-aging tripeptide, the (2S)-beta-alanyl-L-prolyl-2,4-diamino-N-(phenylmethyl)-butanamide acetate, that mimics the functionality of the neurotoxin waglerin-1, found in snake venom. Its application on the skin as a cosmetic relaxes the facial muscles, reducing expression lines in a process whose result is similar to that of the botulinum toxin. From a biochemical point of view, this cosmetic ingredient acts as a reversible antagonist of the muscle nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. By blocking it, there is no Na+ passage through the ion channels of the facial muscle tissue, which then remains relaxed.
