Cinergi™ 1407 A is a water-resistant gloss offset varnish that combines linseed, tung oil and phenolic varnish into a product that provides high gloss and water resistance. A good holdout and high viscosity ensure that inks with the product can be reduced with aliphatic solvents or low viscosity drying oils to boost setting speed without losing gloss. It also has the benefit of good soap and alkali resistance making it ideal for use in a variety of applications. Cinergi™ 1407 A is considered ideal for use in the highest quality offset and letterpress inks, while the product's water resistant feature means it can improve the working properties of lithographic inks.
